Blemishes, especially on the face are one of the most common complaints in
women and can be a huge source of embarrassment. This problem is quite common
in people of all ages. Blemishes can appear despite good skin care. Most of
the time, controlling acne can
reduce your discomfort and chance of scarring to a great extent.

- Keep your face clean by washing it at least twice a day with antibacterial
soap. Avoid scented soaps and face washes.
- Wash you make-up applicators and brushes, pillowcase, washcloths, towels
etc on a regular basis with antibacterial soap.
- Keep your hair clean and out of your face.
- Clean your phone mouth piece, pens and pencils away from your face and
chin.
- Avoid wearing heavy make-up; buy make-up specifically designed for your
skin type; throw it away after it has exceeded it's expiration date.
- Always wash off your make up before going to bed.
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Avoid touching your face especially when you have breakouts.
- Get plenty of rest and make all efforts to reduce your level of stress.
Do not neglect your skin care under any circumstances, these efforts pay
off in the long run and shorten the duration of blemishes.
- Get rid of your pimples quickly and sensibly. Do not squeeze or pick
them, this reduces your chance of scarring, skin discolorations and persistent
blemishes.
- Use appropriate skin care products according to your skin type. To reduce
the appearance of blemishes, use a concealer or rub an ice cube over your
face before putting on the make-up.
- Use products to prevent recurrent breakouts of pimples.
- For oily skin, use an over the counter cleanser that contains salicylic
acid or benzoyl peroxide to start the drying process.
- Sometimes putting a small piece of tape on your blemish overnight will
help draw out the fluid and infection.
