Pelvic Pain

This is defined as pain in the area of your body between the belly button
and your hips. This pain may be steady or intermittent, dull ache or sharp
and crampy. It can feel like pressure or heaviness and comes on particularly
during
intercourse, bowel movement or when sitting down in a chair.

evaluated by your physician.

- Physical therapy to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor.
- Stress management and relaxation exercises like yoga, biofeedback and meditation
- Myomectomy to remove fibroids if they are small, one or two in number and
the uterus needs to be saved for future pregnancies to occur
- Hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy (surgical removal of the
uterus along with the fallopian tubes and ovaries)
